POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

Assisting Ocean Freight Research and Trading team on daily analysis of freight driving forces through market action reporting and timely update on regulatory changes in key regional countries;

Compiling, updating and reviewing key statistical data through commodities balance sheets, macroeconomic monitoring and ports situation follow-ups to offer a comprehensive understanding of China real consumption;

Testing multi-variate regression models with Ocean Freight parameters and drivers;

Bringing challenging analysis and original ideas to the trading team;

Getting progressively acquainted with shipping notions and other dry bulk commodities concepts;

QUALIFICATIONS /SKILL SET

Much experience in the steel or iron field who might bring some added value such as direct industry contracts/networking and a more indepth knowledge of these markets, especially within PRC

University degree, major in economics is preferred ;

Excellent English proficiency ;

Understanding of statistical models ;

Highly motivated and diligent person with humble ;

Able to work under high pressure ;

Team player
